Wow, what a year 2019 has been.
We started off this year with Mary needing ear tubes put in. It has not been easy as she is prone to getting colds and having drainage through the tubes. The ENT doctor considers this an ear infection, so we have gone through A LOT of antibiotic ear drops. After 6 months we had a break and got her hearing tested. Now that cold season is here, we are watching carefully to see if it starts up again.

Then my uncle passed away suddenly and my parents were in a very serious car accident on the way to his funeral. While the injuries were serious, they survived and recovered. We had to put our two kids into daycare for the first time, and they both thrived and blossomed from it. In fact, Mary still attends daycare one day a week because of it!

Bryan and I had our wedding this year. It was so wonderful and moving and I still smile remembering that day. It was more than just Bryan and I coming together as a couple, but our family coming together.

Alex turned 8

And he started 2nd grade. So far he is doing great.

We did the Buddy Walk again. We did not meet our fundraising goal, but every bit helps.

We adopted a cat, Freya. She has been an amazing addition to our family. I worried how she would be with two excited kids, but she is patient with them, giving Mary the warning nips when she gets too rough, and happily playful with they get her toys

Mary turned 2

And we had a good Christmas together as a family

I hope that 2020 will be a good year for all of us! Happy New Year!
